Wilderness is located 20 km from the George airport which is midway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the southern tip of Africa and this makes it an ideal base to explore the Garden Route and its surrounds.

Recommend day trips and tours

* Take a day tour to Oudtshoorn and visit the Cango Caves, Crocodile & Cheetah Park and an Ostrich Farm

* Take the Outeniqua Choo Choo steam train from George to Sedgefield along the coast passing five lakes. Lunch at Sedgefield and take a walk to tidal pools.

* Take the Outeniqua Choo Choo steam train from George to Knysna along the coast passing five lakes and two estuaries. Take a ferryboat trip and lunch at a nature reserve

* Go game viewing and/or take a boat to view seals and sharks.

We can arrange any of the following activities.

* Abseiling, bungi jumping or horse riding.
